TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
What is Durasteel?
Durasteel is a Four-Hour and Blast Resistant composite panel of fibre reinforced cement mechanically bonded to punched steel sheets on both outer surfaces.

Blockade Barrier Fire Doors and Barriers are manufactured using Durasteel and offer a flexible strength of 65 N/mm² with an impact strength of 44.15 J that can withstand up to 4000 J and is Impact Resistant (Projectile) to 2793 J.
​
They have a natural Water Resistance of 7-8% of their weight with Thermal Heat Reduction, Acoustic Noise Reduction and are Non-Combustible as prescribed by the BCA and tested according to the methods specified in Australian standard 1530.

Our Durasub Door is a complete tested door system that is made from a product called Durasteel.
Duratseel is a tested 4 hours Fire rated material that can withstand a blast pressure of 2 bar.
It is not only Fire Rated, it is also Blast Resistant
The panel is made from a composite panel of fibre cement that is reinforced within punched steel sheets and comes in a thickness of 9.5mm.

Our Fire and Blast Barriers are protection and defence systems against both intentional and unintentional explosions and blasts.
As with the Blockade Barriers Durasub doors, our fire blast barriers are composed of Durasteel, however, their advantage over other systems is the wall (barrier) can be portable should they be required to be moved.
Fire Blast Barriers can vary in height and performance depending on the Blast & Fire Protection requirements.
The barriers can be made off-site and installed as a unit or modular system.
Blockade Barrier fire and blast barriers are slimline compared to others manufactured, thus reducing the space required to support them.
